I'm pleased to have this piece Blue Zones, Polymer and collage on paper, 2021 in Colour/Collage/Poetry, an online exhibition, curated by Rebecca Loweth for the Colour and Poetry Symposium at the Slade directed by Jo Volley.

The symposium celebrates World Pigment Day - a day that was actually created by Jo and Ruth Siddall.

I've had some great studio visits post the lockdown and I've really appreciated getting feedback on my work. Some new pieces are nearing completion including a new series I've been working called Palm of the Hand paintings that are inspired by Yasunari Kawabata's 'Palm of the Hand Stories' (see images above).

24 hour art project

I enjoyed taking part in this project by Rollo Sichim, an art collective based in Tel Aviv, Israel. We were asked to make a piece of artwork in 24 hours responding to a title given to us at the last minute. See the exhibition by clicking here.

Re-Defining Structure

I'm currently in Re-Defining Structure, an online group exhibition curated by Alexander Hinks at the Cello Factory. You can find it at:

It's a virtual sequel to the 2018 exhibition Defining Structure that catches up with the participating artists, reflects on the role of structure in their work and considers the impact of the current lock-down on the art-world.

The artists are: Samuel Zealey, Juan Bolivar, Etienne de Villiers, Pen Dalton, Alexander Hinks, Juliette Losq, Andrea V Wright, Rita Parniczky, Fiona Grady, Jane Harris, Benjamin Deakin, Robert Dunt, Luke Dowd, Christina Augustesen, Kasper Pincis, Patrick O'Sullivan and myself.

Art for Covid

I have some work for sale with Art for Covid along some great painters. The initiative's aim is to raise money for Covid-19 related charities. If my work sells then 50% of the proceeds will go to Age UK.

These 3 of my gouaches on paper from: Constraint I, II and III (2017) are currently in 'A High Hang' an exhibition in aid of the Rainforest Action Network curated by Christabel Macgreevy and Mark Connolly at Arebyte Studios (27 Eccleston Place SW1W 9NF). Open 11.00-18.00 until 7th December.
